Space Station Portfolio - Wall Set 1
First wall set done! Phew. Turned out alright for now, I may go back and add a few more things onto these... but at the same time I wanted to keep these somewhat simple. I dont want too much attention on the walls - at the same time I like to give them lots of detail, I see too many bland wall textures these days! These are designed to be tileable sets so that I can increase, decrease or modify my environment structure in case I need to make changes.

Space Station Portfolio - Main Hall Planter
This will be a planter/divider for the main hallway section of the space station. It will help break up the otherwise plain hallway and also gives me a good chance to get some organic trees/flora into the mainly hard-surface environment. I wont be planning on doing trees and flora yet, as I still want to get stronger and generally more confident with my texturing abilities. The props are getting done pretty fast now though! Like I said before though, wont be posting up every single prop done for the station, only ones that are somewhat major or easy to show.
Main Hall - Floor Panel Texture
These will be used for a section of the station where the main hallway is flowing through the section. I tried to make a few different grime sets for the tiles - even if they are subtle so that it will put a bit of varience on the floors themselves. They are designed to be tileable and adjustable in case I need to add in more floor pieces in the enviroment itself.

Side Project - XCom Van
Starting out as a fun side project with my roomate ( Video Game programmer ), he wanted to begin making a game referenced from one of his old favorite classics, XCom. I was more then happy to join in, helping get me more and more practice and experience with pumping out all sorts of interesting environment models. So far I've been doing alot of minor props, as the structures and grounds themselves are simple so far. This van is a part of the game, it was a fun little side project I was working idly on the side on the weekend, but thought it turned out pretty neat. The model is really simple , but its my first vehicle so I tried to keep things simple. I'll definetly go more crazy next time.
Space Station Portfolio - Main Doors
These doors seemed to work out pretty good when it came to getting them textured. They are built to be animated so that when the camera is moving into one section of the space station environment into the next room, I want them to be able to open and give a bit more character then a boring plain sliding door. I might go back and add some more bumps and dents onto this, but I think that might be 'too much' for what I was going for. We'll see!

Working on more props getting done for the space station portfolio. I wont be putting all of them up... since there's alot of minor props!

Space Station Portfolio - Main Hallway Props
Beginning to work on some simple portfolio props now , getting them textured and doing their necissary maps - except for normal maps at the moment. I am waiting to get my Zbrush class first before pumping out some nice normal maps to go along with them. But I am going to keep to a schedual in where I promise myself to do one asset a day and finish their texturing. So hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have quite a few assets here to include on the blog, these two are the start. Coming out alright, so far I have been using 90% of my own texturing and havent found too much of useful photos to work with.

Starship Frigate - Demo Reel Work
In-Progress work for a part of my demo reel. This is going to be one of the main set pieces to one of my 'money shots' in my enviroment demo reel, set for a sci-fi theme and space station setting. There will be a massive fleet of starships when you look out of the windows of the space station where you will see the fleet near the station. This ship will be one of the main pieces of that. I've essentially finished the modelling at this point, but going to be doing some tweaking as I'm UVing the model. I'll be moving some wires around, making things a bit less semetrical with minor props on it - making the piping different on both sides perhaps and giving a bit more variety.
The UVing is almost finished, and planning on going with either three or two texture maps for this model.

Wall Mounted Candle
One of the stronger props that came out pretty solid when I finished it for our animation Production class. The details like the gold trim and wood texture came out pretty good. Even got in fun little details and patterns on the candle holder piece. Only thing I would really change on this if I had time would be to again, add more texture and style on the glass part itself, or even actually remove the glass.
Oil Lamp Prop
Shovel Prop
Small Pocket Watch
Another prop for the Production Animation class. This prop was sapost to be more detailed and hand held, to either be used for the old clocksmith in the short film, or to be placed on the table where he is working on. Again, the modelling came out well, but I do wish I some more times to get in a bit more detail into the texture itself. I'd have liked to spend more time on the part where the time details are on, maybe putting a better design on it with some intricate details. And would have been able to do a spec and reflection map.
Medium Clock - Clocksmith Props
One of the many props we had to do for my Production Class. This came out alright, though I wish I we had more time on the texturing part.
