Side Project - XCom Van
Starting out as a fun side project with my roomate ( Video Game programmer ), he wanted to begin making a game referenced from one of his old favorite classics, XCom. I was more then happy to join in, helping get me more and more practice and experience with pumping out all sorts of interesting environment models. So far I've been doing alot of minor props, as the structures and grounds themselves are simple so far. This van is a part of the game, it was a fun little side project I was working idly on the side on the weekend, but thought it turned out pretty neat. The model is really simple , but its my first vehicle so I tried to keep things simple. I'll definetly go more crazy next time.
Space Station Portfolio - Main Doors
These doors seemed to work out pretty good when it came to getting them textured. They are built to be animated so that when the camera is moving into one section of the space station environment into the next room, I want them to be able to open and give a bit more character then a boring plain sliding door. I might go back and add some more bumps and dents onto this, but I think that might be 'too much' for what I was going for. We'll see!

Space Station Portfolio - Main Hallway Props
Beginning to work on some simple portfolio props now , getting them textured and doing their necissary maps - except for normal maps at the moment. I am waiting to get my Zbrush class first before pumping out some nice normal maps to go along with them. But I am going to keep to a schedual in where I promise myself to do one asset a day and finish their texturing. So hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have quite a few assets here to include on the blog, these two are the start. Coming out alright, so far I have been using 90% of my own texturing and havent found too much of useful photos to work with.
